Reduced acceleration, limp mode, whistling or whining noises, excessive smoke, increased oil consumption and boost pressure fault codes. Common causes include bearing wear, blocked oil feeds, contaminated oil, damaged hoses or a sticking actuator.
Our replacement engines can be supplied with a tested turbocharger or a professionally refurbished unit. We also recommend checking the intercooler, oil feed pipes, intake system and boost hoses before fitting.
Oil leaks and excessive oil consumption
Oil spots beneath the vehicle, a burning oil smell, smoke from the engine bay, low oil level warnings or frequent oil top ups. Ageing gaskets, seals, crankcase ventilation faults and overheating can cause or worsen leaks.

Internal engine wear or bottom end damage
Deep knocking, metallic particles in the oil, low oil pressure, heavy smoke, misfires, poor compression or complete engine seizure. Low oil levels, missed servicing, overheating, oil starvation and prolonged operation after a warning light can cause severe internal damage.
