For the 2016, the Avensis has been extensively refreshed from the exterior to interior but what Toyota Avensis fans can really pride in, is the new powertrain with several engine options. Toyota has made strategic alliance with BMW for technology sharing and the Avensis has taken the full advantage of this alliance by getting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmengineworks.co.uk\/part\/18452\/bmw-3-e90-320-d\/24405\/engines\"><strong>BMW N47D20 engines<\/strong><\/a> in two different displacements. Toyota is using 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre D-4D engines in new models.<\/p>\n<h3>Focused on Durability and Reliability<\/h3>\n<p>Toyota is one of the world\u2019s best automakers and well known for its focus on durability and reliability. So, the Avensis is expected to equally reliable with N47 diesel engines. Toyota has also released the details of its BMW N47 based D-4D engines. Although there will be five engine options for the UK customers, out of which two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmengineworks.co.uk\/\"><strong>BMW engines<\/strong><\/a> will lead Toyota Avensis from the front.<\/p>\n<h3>Toyota Avensis 1.6-litre D-4D engines<\/h3>\n<p>The all-new 1.6-litre D-4D workhorse swipes the previously used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toyota.co.uk\/world-of-toyota\/stories-news-events\/the-new-avensis.json\"><strong>Toyota Avensis 2.0-litre<\/strong> <strong>engine<\/strong><\/a> with 112bhp from just 4000rpm. New engine generates the pulling power of 270Nm from 1750rpm to 2250rpm and accompanied by six-speed transmission. New Toyota engines comply with the strictest Euro 6 emission standards.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota Avensis develops the acceleration of 62 miles per hour from standstill in 11.4 seconds and the top speed of 116 miles per hour. The carbon emissions of under 100g\/km left no questions unanswered about the fuel economy.<\/p>\n<h3>The 2.0-litre D-4D engines<\/h3>\n<p>A relatively powerful 2.0-litre engines offer better driving experience than the low powered 1.6-litre engines. This engine also complies with Euro 6 emission standards to help you save more on road tax and being environment-friendly. It generates 143bhp of power while being muscular when overtaking with 320Nm of torque from 1750 to 2250 rpm. It takes just over nine seconds to get the sprint of 62 miles per hour while touches the top speed of 155 miles per hour same as the majority of BMW models.
